ETHOS: The Behaviour Policy at St Nicholas CEVC Primary school is a statement of good practice that covers all aspects of our school and contributes to the development and maintenance of good behaviour and a positive relationship based on our core values.
All members of the school are expected to maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning with courtesy and mutual respect as basic requirements.
AIMS of the policy
Christian Values: As a Church School we promote Christian Values as a way of supporting behaviour. Children are rewarded for displaying these values. Adult conversations around behaviour should - where possible – reflect the Christian Values of our school: Respect, Thankfulness, Friendship, Compassion and Forgiveness, for example, talking about forgiveness when children are in conflict.
